Dark Promise is the third book in the Darkhaven Saga. Things are shaking up in Darkhaven. Eva is happy to be part of vampires, they are getting along and she also has settled in pretty well. When things are starting to look up witches enter the scene bringing in more problems and Eva being Eva wants to help them resolve the problems. Her loyalty is tested and she has to choose between her family who sent her away and her new family who took her in and supported her.

Her family and coven have been around Darkhaven for a long time and protect the village by killing the vampires. The story was interesting, the world was simple and accessible.
