I had a productive month in November, and I am happy I was able to complete 10 books. Though this month started slow like the past couple of months, I was excited to read the titles I had. I had a mixed bag of genres this month, and I really wanted it that way. Without further ado, let’s dive right into the ratings of the books. 1. The Cul-de-sac War By Melissa Ferguson – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 Stars) If you like to read the review for this book – CLICK HERE 2. BOOK REVIEW : THE INVISIBLE LIFE OF ADDIE LARUE BY VE SCHWAB
The Invisible Life Of Addie LaRue is my 6th book from VE Schwab, who is one of my favorite authors. I have been eyeing this book for so long, seeing the beautiful pics on Instagram and just hoping I could get my hands on this beauty. When I saw the title on Netgalley, I never thought I would be able to read it, but just for fun, I requested it. I was squealing when I saw the email saying - my request was accepted. That made my day!! Seriously!! Receiving an ARC for my favorite author made my day!! Man!! I did not see it coming, and I am forever…
JUNE WRAP-UP
June was a productive month. I was able to read 10 books, and I enjoyed most of them. I have a few favorites as well. I loved The Buried World by Jeff Wheeler, and have already gotten the next book in the series. I binge-read entire Shades Of Magic series and it was fantastic. Half Life was really good and unique YA Sci-Fi. The Secret Notebook was great with interesting historical elements added to it. Other books I read had a lot of potential but didn't hit the mark for me. How was your reading in June? Let me know in the comment section down below, your favorite books of…
BOOK REVIEW : A CONJURING OF LIGHT (SHADES OF MAGIC #3) BY V. E. SCHWAB
A Conjuring Of Light is the third and final book in the Shades Of Magic series. VE Schwab has yet again done a fantastic job of creating a story that will captivate and fascinate you throughout the book. I was in the mood for binge-reading the series and was able to fly through it effortlessly. I have to say I am a confirmed fan of VE Schwab, and she will be an automatic author buy for me. The finale not only lived up to my expectations, but it also is a favorite of mine. I loved every moment of reading this series and in particular this book. The new developments…
BOOK REVIEW : A GATHERING OF SHADOWS (SHADES OF MAGIC #2) V.E. SCHWAB
I picked this up after the first book. I was in the mood to binge read the series and I couldn't wait to start. I was quite excited to see Lila, Kell, and Rhy's journey and where life would take them. A Gathering Of Shadows picks up 4 months after A Darker Shade Of Magic ended. Let's just say that this book kept me hooked to the story from beginning to end. I don't know how to talk about anything without giving any part of the story away, because of major SPOILERS!!! The book is set up with the expansion of the world or to be more precise, Arnes, and…
BOOK REVIEW : A DARKER SHADE OF MAGIC (SHADES OF MAGIC #1) BY V. E. SCHWAB
I bought the box set for Shades Of Magic series after finishing Vengeful. I am binge reading this series at the moment. I haven't been able to stop reading the series. As of right now, I am reading the third book in the series and I cannot put it down. A Darker Shade Of Magic is a splendid fantasy that will take you through different Londons nested inside one another. The setting is atmospheric with the most vivid descriptions of the different Londons. I loved how the author managed to make each of these Londons characters themselves with unique characteristics and personality attached to it. The magic and the world…
MAY WRAP-UP
Ramadan and being Quarantined was a new experience for me, as I am sure it was for everyone else. It was interesting, to say the least. I wasn't sure how much reading I will be able to get done. But I just moved forward with the mindset that I will be doing my best to read as much as I can. Things did work out for me and for that I am extremely grateful. I was able to finish the entire Quran and also twelve books in addition to that. There were some really fun reads and some emotional reads in May. Overall May was a good reading month for…
BOOK REVIEW : VENGEFUL (VILLAINS #2) BY V.E.SCHWAB
Vicious was such a wild ride and after reading it I just wanted to continue on with the series as I already had the next book with me. loved how Vicious ended and I felt it could stand strong as a standalone if that was how the author intended for the story to be. However Vengeful expands upon the world, the concept of EOs and we get to learn more about our characters and everything that makes them who they are. We get a new set of characters in this book and they are just as morally grey and anti-hero as the original cast. Marcella after her brush with death…
