THE QUEEN’S POISONER (KINGFOUNTAIN #1) BY JEFF WHEELER | BOOK REVIEW
The Queen's Poisoner by Jeff wheeler is the first book in the Kingfountain series. So confession time, I read this book after reading Jeff Wheeler's Knight's Ransom. Knight's Ransom takes place several years before the Kingfountain series and takes us through the Argentine family's reign. After reading the book I realized I am missing things and so I decided to jump into The Queen's Poisoner without any thought. I would recommend reading the series in order to get the most out of it, but it's not really necessary if you find yourself hesitating to commit to the big series.

SEPTEMBER WRAP-UP
September was quite the month for me! I wasn't sure if I'll be able to read the books on my TBR, with kids getting back to online classes and our move this month. Things were hectic, and I so close to dropping everything. One of the reasons I wasn't sure I was going to make my TBR target was because all the books I planned for this month happen to be the lengthier, slower-paced, literary, and historical fiction books. It was the kind of books one needs to take the time and savor it rather than reading in one sitting. I am ecstatic and proud to have finished all of…
BOOK REVIEW : THE IMMORTAL WORDS (THE GRAVE KINGDOM #3) BY JEFF WHEELER
The Immortal Words picks up right from where the story left off in The Buried World. Bingmei is set out to accomplish her task of fulfilling the prophecy while having to escape both Echion and Xisi. The challenges that are in front of her keep on getting tougher with each step. She has to deal with her fear of death and also do something that will put an end to the era of cruelty and destruction brought forward by the reign of the dragons. The story was interesting and had raised the stakes higher with lots of fight sequences and near-death moments. The story and history are slowly unraveled and…
JUNE WRAP-UP
June was a productive month. I was able to read 10 books, and I enjoyed most of them. I have a few favorites as well. I loved The Buried World by Jeff Wheeler, and have already gotten the next book in the series. I binge-read entire Shades Of Magic series and it was fantastic. Half Life was really good and unique YA Sci-Fi. The Secret Notebook was great with interesting historical elements added to it. Other books I read had a lot of potential but didn't hit the mark for me. How was your reading in June? Let me know in the comment section down below, your favorite books of…
BOOK REVIEW : THE BURIED WORLD (THE GRAVE KINGDOM #2) BY JEFF WHEELER
The Buried World is the second book in The Grave Kingdom series. The series is Chinese inspired with a fantastical world and a great cast of characters carrying the story forward. I read The Killing Fog, the first book in this series last year, and thoroughly enjoyed it. This series picks up from where the story left off in the first book. We follow Bingmei as she and her ensign is fleeing from Echion and his army of mercenaries. Kingdoms have fallen; Echion is raging war against anyone who dares to defy him. He is forcing Iron Rules on his subjects. Things are rapidly changing in the entire world. Echion…
