A KING’S RADIANCE (BONDS OF KIN #1) BY L.R. SCHULZ | BOOK REVIEW | Escapist Book Tours
A King's Radiance is a debut from Indie author L R Schulz. With the release of his new book, Schulz looks like he is going to be a permanent fixture in the book world and I am super excited. This book is for the YA+ audience. The story is set in the Kingdom of Zapour, and we follow three Glaive siblings who get separated by unfortunate circumstances. This is a story of familial love, friendship, and of course – justice! I have seen this title floating around Instagram quite a bit in the last couple of weeks. Also, I have heard good things from people I know and so obviously…

This is a classic fantasy series and has been known to be the inspiration for many of the more popular books. The story is set in the land of Osten Ard where the High King John Prester is dying, and his son Elias will take the throne. Osten Ard was a peaceful land under the rule of John Prester and will descend into chaos under his son Elias's reign. SOULSMITH (CRADLE #2) BY WILL WIGHT | BOOK REVIEW
Soulsmith by Will Wight is the second book in the Cradle series. We are buddy reading the whole series and had a blast reading Unsouled. While I was a bit slow to start, I still had a ton of fun reading it with our Goodreads group. Everyone had interesting things to say and new insights to provide. Highly recommend buddy reading fantasy series as it not only helps in discussing the book and ideas but also helps in catching up to elements that we might have missed or glossed over and also makes it easier to keep track of all the details.
UNSOULED (CRADLE #1) BY WILL WIGHT | BOOK REVIEW
Unsouled by Will Wight is the first book in the Cradle series. It is an Asian-inspired fantasy. Although this is a YA/NA novel, it's an exceptionally addictive and fun fantasy for adults as well. This was also one of the buddy reads I signed up for on Goodreads and had a blast reading it with our group. I started Insouled in January and am only now getting to review the book. Life got hold of me and I am behind on most of my reviews.
THE HUNGER OF THE GODS (THE BLOODSWORN SAGA #2) BY JOHN GWYNNE | BOOK REVIEW
The Hunger of the gods is the second book in The Bloodsworn Saga. It picks up right after where we left off in The Shadow of the Gods. The story is set in a Norse-inspired world called Vigrið. We follow our 3 main Characters Orka, Elvar and Varg after the events of book 1 into new adventures. Lik-Rifa has risen and now the Battle-Grim needs to find a way to restore the balance. The solution is the kind with lots of danger. Battle-Grim's decision will change the world once again tipping the scales and creating more conflict. The high stakes all-out war breaks out threatening the land of Vigrið.
THE LAST WISH (THE WITCHER #0.5) BY ANDRZEJ SAPKOWSKI | BOOK REVIEW
I have been wanting to read The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski for the longest time. Ever since the first season of The Witcher came out, I was excited to try it. When the chance to read this series came about in the form of buddy reads on Goodreads, I obviously jumped. The chances of me reading it on my own was pretty slim, as I knew I'd be intimidated by the prospect of tackling a widely popular series. I haven't watched the series, because I didn't want to spoil myself. So here I am after finishing the first book The Last Wish and I am honestly a little deflated…
THE SHADOW OF THE GODS (THE BLOODSWORN SAGA #1) BY JOHN GWYNNE
The Shadow Of The Gods by John Gwynne is the first book in The Bloodsworn Saga. I have heard so much about John Gwynne and his books that I was delighted to get my hands on this one and participate in Goodreads Buddy Reads. Buddy reading is a unique and fun experience on its own, but to read a book that's unanimously raved about by the entire book (fantasy) community is another thing. I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when I picked this up, other than the general idea I had after reading the synopsis. The book blew me away with the epicness of the story and…
