Djinn is a YA urban fantasy with Djinns as the fantastical creatures. The story is told from Bijou a young teenager's perspective. We follow her move to the new town filled with new beginnings. Bijou has been following her grandmother from place to place uprooting her life. The new town where they planned to settle hoping for a normal life gets turned upside down when supernatural events happen. I was extremely intrigued by the concept of Djinns and…

David Parrish's Losing Jon is a harrowing account of a teenager's death following a night of partying under suspicious circumstances. The whole book is written to bring out the police brutality in Howard county and the steps the police, FBI and other officials took to cover up the crime. The book was engaging and gripping in its storytelling..
eslie Rule's A Tangled Web is one of the most fascinating and horrifying true-crime I have read. I read the synopsis and thought that sounds like an interesting case. Never in my wildest imagination did I think that I would be led into the craziest of cases to have happened. It's unbelievable and simply disturbing.
A history of madness is the second book in The Outland's Pentalogy series. I read the first book in January. I gave the book 4.5 stars. The world-building is fascinating. We have the mutants and humans at war with each other. Both species have their own views about how the world came to be the way it is now. The humans have ruled the world that emerged after the devastation with firm hands and is ruthlessly enacting laws and regulations to keep the citizens from finding freedom. The indoctrination of the Kingdom is deeply rooted in a falsified history.
