THE HOUSE OF STYX (VENUS ASCENDANT #1) BY DEREK KUNSKEN | BOOK REVIEW
The House Of Styx by Derek Künsken is the first novel in the Venus Ascendant sci-fi series set in the churning clouds of Venus. Künsken creates a story of survival and family values. The atmospheric and visually detailed setting for this story is the highlight of this story. The harsh environment and unrelenting acidic rain in the atmosphere of Venus make for a challenging living environment for its inhabitants. While the rest of the world has taken over other planets in the solar system, the Québécois descendants have managed to inhabit Venus and make a new home.

BOOK REVIEW : CHOSEN ONES (THE CHOSEN ONES #1) BY VERONICA ROTH
Chosen Ones is the first book I have read from the author Veronica Roth. I was intrigued by the synopsis and wanted to see how the author took the trope of The Chosen One and applied it. The story follows the chosen ones selected to fight against the Dark One who brought terror, destruction, and widespread death to the world. The 5 chosen ones were in their teens when they were recruited by the government. We follow their journey as adults and how their experiences have shaped them. We follow Sloane and we get the story from her perspective and how she battles with the aftermath of the encounter. The…

BOOK REVIEW : WHERE THE LOST WANDER BY AMY HARMON
Where The Lost Wanderis a romantic historical fiction set on Oregon Trail and it tells us the hauntingly beautiful love story of Naomi May and John Lowry. They meet on their journey to California in search of a better life. Their journey was hard, filled with labor, pain ,sweat and tears. The book describes the reality of families who set on the path to a better future and having to endure the worst of hardships, sicknesses, and ugliness. This is not a sugar-coated version of the journey and the author pulled no punches in delivering a raw, unimaginably tragic story of love, loss, and hope. The story was so difficult…
BOOK REVIEW : VICIOUS (VILLAINS #1) BY V.E.SCHWAB
Wow!! I have no idea why I put this book off for so long and let me just say that I am so happy that I finally picked it up because I would have missed out on a great book. I really enjoyed the book even though at first I was a little confused about the timeline and the irregular time jumps in the story. Once I got into the story I was hooked. I loved how V E Schwab wrote these characters to showcase the dark side of human beings and how they behave when they hold power. This book masterfully showcases human behavior and psyche when they are…
BOOK REVIEW : ISLAND AFFAIR (KEYS TO LOVE #1) BY PRISCILLA OLIVERAS
Island Affair is the first book to a brand new series called Keys To Love. The story is set in Key West with the island as a backdrop to this romance story. The author's love for Key West is very evident in this book. I loved the island setting and how the location felt like an integral part of the story highlighting the Cuban culture, food, and scenery all around.
