Here are my top 5 books from the year 2020. I am so happy to share them with you. Each of these holds a special place in my heart and have gotten promoted to my all time favorites as well. The Boy Between by Josiah Hartley and Amanda Prowse is an emotional and a brutally honest portrayal of their journey through Josiah's depression. I have never read an Amanda Prowse book. I have seen her name before, but I haven't gotten around to her books yet. When I saw this title, I was intrigued, and I wanted to know more about their journey and experience regarding depression. Home Before Dark is my second book from Riley Sager. I read Lock Every Door last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the author's writing and was fascinated by his style of storytelling. This story was no different. I am also excited about the arrival of my copy of this book from a book subscription box!! It was an alternate choice for a different book and I am so glad I picked this one. The whole ambiance of the book is the perfect setting for horror. Mythopedia is a brilliantly illustrated encyclopedia of mythical beasts and fantastical creatures from around the world. The beautiful cover pulled me in from the moment I laid my eyes on it. The book is well researched and filled with enlightening information regarding various beasts and creatures often heard in lores. It was an absolute delight to read this book and a visual feast as well. I was awed by the vivid details added to the beautiful art in this book. The bright colors, the imagery this book presents is breathtaking!!
