An Epic Masterpiece !! Slaughtered Gods (The Hanged God #3) By Thilde Kold Holdt | BOOK REVIEW | The Write Reads Book Tour
Slaughtered Gods is the 3rd and final book in The Hanged God Trilogy, and boy oh boy, what an ending this was! This book ended on a grand note and was the perfect finale for this remarkable series. It is impressive how Thilde has managed to carry this story forward and pull us in for the entire ride without losing the momentum or quality of the book. I am craving more Norse fiction now that I have finished this epic series. This series is one of the best, and one of the most underrated Norse fantasies out there in my opinion, and deserves all the love. I am actually shocked…

An Ocean Of Others by Joshua Scott Edwards is the first book in the new epic fantasy series Dance Of The Sibling Suns. This self-published fantasy book has exceeded my expectations in every way. This self-published fantasy book has exceeded my expectations in every way. When I saw this book's cover on Twitter, I fell in love with it right away and was excited to read it. The synopsis is what sealed the deal for me. It sounded like everything I wanted in a fantasy story. Joshua is an amazing writer and has perfectly captured all the elements that make an incredible fantasy. From crafting a unique story with an…

The Hunger of the gods is the second book in The Bloodsworn Saga. It picks up right after where we left off in The Shadow of the Gods. The story is set in a Norse-inspired world called Vigrið. We follow our 3 main Characters Orka, Elvar and Varg after the events of book 1 into new adventures. Lik-Rifa has risen and now the Battle-Grim needs to find a way to restore the balance. The solution is the kind with lots of danger. Battle-Grim's decision will change the world once again tipping the scales and creating more conflict. The high stakes all-out war breaks out threatening the land of Vigrið.
THE SHADOW OF THE GODS (THE BLOODSWORN SAGA #1) BY JOHN GWYNNE
The Shadow Of The Gods by John Gwynne is the first book in The Bloodsworn Saga. I have heard so much about John Gwynne and his books that I was delighted to get my hands on this one and participate in Goodreads Buddy Reads. Buddy reading is a unique and fun experience on its own, but to read a book that's unanimously raved about by the entire book (fantasy) community is another thing. I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when I picked this up, other than the general idea I had after reading the synopsis. The book blew me away with the epicness of the story and…
A TIME OF PROPHECY (THE OUTLANDS PENTALOGY #5) BY REBECCA CRUNDEN | BOOK REVIEW
A Time Of Prophecy is the final book in The Outlands Pentalogy. When I say I adore this series and I am in love with most of the characters, I am not even exaggerating. I was putting off reading this one because I was scared and didn't know if my heart was capable of handling any more pain. These books have wrecked me and I mean that in the best way possible. I loved my experience of all the books in the series and this one did not disappoint either. I had high hopes and Rebecca delivered!! Now that I have gushed let's get to the review. The Kingdom is…
A DANCE OF LIES (THE OUTLANDS PENTALOGY #4) BY REBECCA CRUNDEN| BOOK REVIEW
A Dance Of Lies is the 4th book in The Outlands Pentalogy. This series gets better with each book and I am all here for it. Each book focuses on a main character's POV taking us through their tumultuous lives as they fight against the oppression and tyranny of the heavily authoritarian Kingdom. A year of living in the Outlands hasn't resolved the issues building between Nate, Thom, Kitty, and the rest of the group. Their found family of people of the Kingdom and Radiants have found a routine to their lives, living day to day the best way possible. Not everyone is happy to flee from the Kingdom and…

SPACE HOPPER / FAYE , FARAWAY BY HELEN FISHER | BOOK REVIEW
Space Hopper by Helen Fisher is her debut book and let me just say, she knocked it out of the park with this one. I love when books can make us think, feel, and at the same get invested in the character's life, so much so that we are cheering them on from the sidelines. This book is no different in that regard. A wonderful and emotional read that will grip you from the very first line and will not leave you adrift. If you love stories of time travel and magical realism, this one is for you. The story is about Faye a 36-year-old woman who has been living…
JANUARY WRAP-UP
2021 is on the way, and I don't really know how to feel about this year even after a month into it. January is over and I planned to start slow because I had a hard time with reading. I have been picking up some really emotional books and my mood was not in the best place when I picked them up. So I decided to not put pressure on myself and take it easy. I picked up 4, which seemed like a safe number to start with. I have a new all-time favorite, which also ironically happens to be an emotional read, but it was inspiring, beautiful, and uplifting…

THE LAST MIGRATION BY CHARLOTTE MCCONAGHY | BOOK REVIEW
Charlotte McConaghy brings us a beautifully poignant and heart-wrenching story that will grip you and move you beyond your imagination through The Last Migration. I didn't know what to expect when I picked it up. So, imagine my surprise when it managed to exceed my expectations and broke my heart in the process. I am an emotional mess after reading this and still feel the sadness carving deeper into my heart. You need to keep a box of tissues at hand if you are planning to read this one. Now that I have somewhat articulated my feelings toward this book; I feel like I can discuss the book more calmly.…
