A touch of death is the first book in the 5 part series, The Outlands Pentalogy by Rebecca Crunden. This is a sci-fi, fantasy dystopian novel in a post-apocalyptic setting.
2020 was a good year for me when it comes to reading. I read so many books and had a great time finding new historical books that were amazing and captivating. I want to share them with you guys. Some of these got into my top 5 and some of these are older releases and others are new books released in 2020. This is going to be a long post and I want you guys to be prepared for it. Get ready to dive into it. Let's get into the list of my favorite historical fiction I read this year, shall we?
In the year 2020, I read a few children's / middle-grade books. Some of these were of the non-fiction genre. I absolutely loved the books in these genre, because these books were created in such a fun & interactive way that you will pick them up for your kids - that's for sure! These books are the best way to introduce your kids to non-fiction, and I highly recommend getting these books. One of my other favorite is a heart touching story about a young family's plight in the detention center. This one is more suited for YA, because of the heaviness of the topic, but it features middle-grade characters…
Here are my top 5 books from the year 2020. I am so happy to share them with you. Each of these holds a special place in my heart and have gotten promoted to my all time favorites as well. I found myself struggling to choose one book, and so I decided to pick 5 that will be forever etched in my heart and mind. Addie and Shams has left a big hole in my heart and I don't know if anything can fill it... 😭😭😭
I am saddened by the events that have been happening around the world right now. With the racist attacks on people of color and especially the oppression faced by the black people we need to support and be an ally for the people who have been suffering. My heart goes out to you, and where I come from we don't have these issues but we definitely have issues of colorism. Though I am not from the US, I am aware of the problems, racism, oppression, injustice, and prejudice faced by the black community. I will support and do my part in helping in any way possible.
