WWW WEDNESDAY | 13 May 2020
Hey everyone!!
It’s WWW Wednesday !! Happy Wednesday to everyone. This is my first time participating in this meme. I am just figuring out new tags and memes to participate in and I am having fun exploring these new ideas.
This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived by Taking on a World of Words.
I hope everyone is doing good and are being safe and secure during this quarantine time.
I am going to answer the three questions for this meme. Let’s get started…
What are you currently Reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
|LAST BOOK I FINISHED READING|
I finished this book two days back and I just posted a full review for this and I will post the link here if you would like to check it out.
“Wynn is my son. No little boy could be more loved by his parents. Inquisitive, fiercely affectionate, staunchly opinionated, he sees the world through eyes of wonder and has yet to become jaded by society’s cruelty. I know he’ll grow up with stories of having been made to feel ‘other’ because of the color of his skin. I want to teach him that, though life’s unfair, he still has incomparable value in the eyes of his heavenly Father. I know this wondrous little person has the potential to change the world―and I want him to know it too.”
In Mother to Son, Jasmine Holmes shares a series of powerful letters to her young son. These are about her journey as an African American Christian and what she wants her son to know as he grows and approaches the world as a black man. Holmes deals head-on with issues ranging from discipleship and marriage to biblical justice. She invites us to read over her shoulder as she reminds Wynn that his identity is firmly planted in the person and work of Jesus Christ, even when the topic is one as emotionally charged as race in America.
|MY CURRENT READS|
I have never been the person to read just 1 book. Being a mood reader I don’t really know which book I’ll pick up next. So I am always keeping a flexible TBR where I have books that I need to read for reviewing and book tour commitments that I need to get to every month and then I put in books that I put in based on my mood. I go back and forth between books depending on my mood. These are the books that are currently on my TBR.
So far I am enjoying this. I am not too far into the book. So I can only say that it’s interesting and I will be posting a review as soon as I finish this.
I just started this book. I read a few pages and got busy with other things and I need to get back to this soon. I have heard good things about this book and so I am excited to see how I will feel about this book.
I have been reading this for some time now. I took this up to read when my kids were doing their online classes. So far I am enjoying it, it’s a slow-paced with not much action taking place. It’s also my first V.E.Schwab book and I am excited.
|MY NEXT READ|
I have a long list of books that I want to read next. I have a few books that I need to review for book tours, so those are on my list and a few ARCs from NetGalley that I trying to knock off my Netgalley TBR and get my feedback ratio up.
What are you planning to read next? Let me know in the comment section down below.
