GUEST POST BY AUTHOR
1. What is a fool-proof formula to grip the readers from get go?
Ask a question and don’t answer it until the end of your story. In Wild & Chance, for example, Wild is a dog who has lost her memory and she’s struggling to discover “Who am I, and why can I understand humans?” She doesn’t find out until very near the end of the book, so the reader is pulled along by mystery and suspense.
2. What was your inspiration for the book?
What if I could talk to my dog, and I discovered she was a soldier on the run from a secret organization trying to capture her?
3. If you could go on an adventure with your pet, what would it be and where would you want to go?
I don’t currently have a pet, and while that’s sad for me, here’s some good news. Many pet shelters in New York City are empty because so many people have adopted animals during quarantine! If I had a pet, I’d want it to be Wild (the dog in my book) because we could talk together, make each other laugh, and find ways to make the city safer.
