Knight's Ransom by Jeff Wheeler is the first book in The First Argentines series. This series is set in the same world as the Kingfountain series. The court historian finds a personal journal of a lady who was held at Kingfountain to ensure her father's loyalty to the King. THE HOUSE OF STYX (VENUS ASCENDANT #1) BY DEREK KUNSKEN | BOOK REVIEW

The House Of Styx by Derek Künsken is the first novel in the Venus Ascendant sci-fi series set in the churning clouds of Venus. Künsken creates a story of survival and family values. The atmospheric and visually detailed setting for this story is the highlight of this story. The harsh environment and unrelenting acidic rain in the atmosphere of Venus make for a challenging living environment for its inhabitants. While the rest of the world has taken over other planets in the solar system, the Québécois descendants have managed to inhabit Venus and make a new home.

YOU AND ME ON VACATION BY EMILY HENRY | BOOK REVIEW

You And Me on Vacation by Emily Henry is my new favorite romance and I have been chasing after this exact feeling for some time now. It's a second chance friends-to-lovers romance. Poppy and Alex are the exact opposites and did not like each other on their first meeting. To say it was awkward and tense would be an understatement. Despite the rocky start the two of them end up taking a trip back home together and realize they might have been too hasty in forming their opinions on each other. Poppy is eccentric, fun, quirky, and outgoing and Alex is the quiet guy who prefers to stay indoors and…

THIRTEEN (EDDIE FLYNN #4) BY STEVE CAVANAGH | BOOK REVIEW

Thirteen by Steve Cavanagh is a legal thriller, courtroom drama, and murder mystery all rolled into an exceptionally clever story. The synopsis mentioned serial killers and I was invested. I have read a couple of serial killer stories and have enjoyed them a lot. All of them were thrillers and had the investigative angle to them. This one is not that different either. We follow two POVs one of an ex-con turned defense lawyer Eddie Flynn and the other of Kane, the serial killer.

15 WAYS TO READ MORE IN 2021!

Reading is a great way to learn more. Whether it's fiction or non-fiction, books have a way of opening our minds to new possibilities. And then we have people who are looking up ways to improve their reading, how to read more, or find ways to incorporate reading into their daily habits. I read about 49 books in 2019 and 112 books in 2020. Because 2019 was the year I started my reading journey and getting back…

A TIME OF PROPHECY (THE OUTLANDS PENTALOGY #5) BY REBECCA CRUNDEN | BOOK REVIEW

A Time Of Prophecy is the final book in The Outlands Pentalogy. When I say I adore this series and I am in love with most of the characters, I am not even exaggerating. I was putting off reading this one because I was scared and didn't know if my heart was capable of handling any more pain. These books have wrecked me and I mean that in the best way possible. I loved my experience of all the books in the series and this one did not disappoint either. I had high hopes and Rebecca delivered!! Now that I have gushed let's get to the review. The Kingdom is…
